Redesigning and upgrading the quality of stay at six S-Bahn stations in the north-south S-Bahn tunnel. As part of the “Zukunft Bahn” project, the six historic stations of Berlin's north-south S-Bahn tunnel: Nordbahnhof, Anhalter Bahnhof, Brandenburger Tor, Friedrichstrasse, Potsdamer Platz and Oranienburger Straße were given a more customer-friendly design.
The aim of the implementation for each station was to make the historical development of the respective S-Bahn station visible and tangible for passengers and to intensify the respective architectural character in such a way that it enables passengers to perceive the location in a new way. To this end, the existing buildings were subjected to a detailed analysis and a comprehensive concept was developed that takes into account both the historical context and the modern use. The visual design and exhibition concept for the historical and topographical staging was carried out by the Berlin design agency No Pink Studio.
